Disability Services

Disability Services is a branch of the Learning Commons providing academic accommodations to students with documented disabilities. Disability Services supports students in acquiring academic accommodations, advocates for their academic needs, and connects students to learning support resources during their time at Ïã²Ý´«Ã½.

Get Started: Register with Disability Services

Step 1: Complete an Accommodations Request Form

You will be asked to:

  • identify your disability or disabilities
  • describe the accommodations you are requesting

Step 2: Provide Documentation of a Disability

  • When completing the Accommodations Request Form, you may submit documentation relevant to your disability or disabilities
  • Uploading documentation is not required to submit the Accommodations Request Form.
  • Disability Services can help guide students on obtaining or updating documentation 
     

Step 3: Connect with a Disability Services Specialist or Learning Support Specialist

After completing your Accommodations Request Form, you will receive an email from an RU specialist within one to three business days with information about next steps. Please check your RU email and follow up with the RU specialist.

Next Steps

Recertify your Accommodations Request

Complete the Accommodations Recertification and Consent Form each academic term in order to re-certify your previously identified accommodations and provide consent for a new academic term.
